Six String Samurai

redneckninja finally got their swords in. Coupled with the guitar, they're now a Six String Samurai, eh?

I found 3 caches last night, looked around at REI, and played some DS PoP.

I started ordering new GeoCaching gear.

Here's what I have:

  • Hip pack (x2 - one is larger, one is smaller)
  • Off Sunscreen/bug repellant
  • Pencils (I cut down regular ones to golf size)
  • FRS radios (x3)
  • PDA with GPS and software (Axim X50v, BlueLogger, CacheMate, CoPilot)
  • Wet naps
  • Memo book
  • Cooler (for water/snacks in the car)
  • Hat
  • Stick
  • GeoCaching.com membership
  • NavStar jacket (for rain, it's pretty tough material)
  • Compass
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Mosquito net
  • Flashlight (only a 2x AA one for now. I've got a Skil work light that I can haul if necessary)

Here's what I ordered:

  • Clear plastic PDA case
  • Free Stamp (for logging caches)
  • Free Business Cards (for giving out while caching)
  • Digital camo BDU pants (x2 - I got two different sizes in case of shrinkage)

Still looking at:

  • Daypack
  • Water bladder
  • Boots (I've got big monster steel toed ones, but that's not all that great for summer hiking)

Anyone with geocaching/hiking experience have other ideas? I'm sure I've missed some things, but the basics are there. And I'm sure the gear list will change with the seasons somewhat.
